La Risorsa Umana srl is looking for an:
International Business Development Specialist (Medical Devices).
The International Business Development Specialist helps the company with brand's expansion into new international territories. The main mission of this role is to identify, vet, and recruit distribution partners in untapped markets while strategically growing the revenue of the already existing company network. The position reports to the Sales Director of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Mapping & Entry: Research high-potential international markets (e.G., DACH, LATAM, or Middle East) and identify relevant distributors in those regions.
- Partner Recruitment: Lead the full "hunting" cycle: contact potential distributors, present the company's medical equipment and technologies and negotiate or help the Sales Director negotiate distribution agreements.
- Network Optimization: identify opportunities for potential business growth and drive business development with existing accounts.
- Competitor Intelligence: Monitor international competitors' pricing and product launches to ensure the company's distributors remain competitive in their local tenders and sales activity.
- International Fair Strategy: Participate into major global congresses and take an active role in lead generation, transforming booth visitors into long-term distribution partners.
- Administrative Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions using CRM software.
Candidate Profile & Skills:
- Education: A degree in Economics, Foreign Languages, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent background.
- Experience: Some years in an international business development role, with a track record of opening new accounts or territories.
- Languages: Fluent English + one other major language (Spanish, French, or German) is highly preferred.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate sales conditions and contracts in an international environment.
- Technical Savvy: Ability to learn the clinical benefits of medical devices to explain them to distributors and customers. Ability to gain a basic understanding of local registration requirements for medical devices.
- Availability to travel: traveling up to 30% of the time is required to meet distributors and participate into international fairs.
