Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Origination & Relationship Management: sourcing initiatives within targeted sectors; proactively cultivate and maintain deep relationships with advisors, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and advisors; assess inbound deal flow rigorously to prioritize high-quality opportunities;
- Transaction Execution: Oversee and lead the entire transaction execution lifecycle from due diligence to closure; direct involvement in the negotiation of critical commercial terms, including share purchase agreements (SPAs), governance structures, and financing arrangements; coordinate and manage cross-functional advisory teams including legal, commercial, financial, and technical experts.
- Financial Structuring: Lead and manage discussions with lenders, structuring sophisticated debt financing solutions; develop and finalize complex financial models, deliver compelling presentations and strategic recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Investment Committee Leadership: Participate in the presentation of robust, detailed, and persuasive investment cases at Investment Committee meetings; ensure thorough preparation and submission of investment memoranda and associated documentation; expertly address follow-up queries, providing insightful responses to Investment Committee feedback and addressing potential risks and mitigations comprehensively.
- Portfolio Oversight: Serve as the strategic operational lead for at least two portfolio companies; monitor and guide strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, management reinforcemente, refinancing opportunities, and exit planning; oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality governance materials and actively participate in portfolio board meetings.
- Internal Development: Provide strategic mentoring and targeted training to Associates, Analysts, and Senior Analysts, enhancing their technical capabilities and professional growth; actively support fundraising efforts occasionally participating at meeting with investors by preparing detailed, high-quality investment-related materials.
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, or related fields;
- At least 4-5 years of experience in environments such as private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, M&A advisory, transaction services, or strategy consulting;
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills;
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook, or similar) is a plus;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; fluent French is a plus;
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively;
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactivity, and interest in industrial as well as financial dynamics;
- Experience in healthcare-related transactions.
