Client Description:

For our client, a multinational company operating in the education sector, we are looking for a

Chief Financial Officer



Responsibilities

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the country, ensuring the organization's financial stability, optimizing resource allocation, and actively contributing to the group's global strategy.

The role reports directly to the Country Manager Italy and functionally to the Group Deputy CFO, ensuring strong alignment with the corporate finance team.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and local reporting
    • Ensure the accuracy of financial data (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) and develop KPIs to support decision-making
    • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance and strong internal controls
    • Act as a financial advisor to the Country Manager, supporting strategic decisions (expansion, investments, M&A, new academies)
    • Maintain close coordination with the corporate finance team to ensure consistency in policies, processes, and reporting
    • Collaborate with academic and operational teams to align resource allocation with educational objectives
    • Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring solid financial governance
    • Manage and develop the local finance team, fostering talent and capabilities
    • Drive improvements in financial systems and tools, contributing to overall efficiency
    • Continuously enhance processes, with a focus on reporting quality and analytical capabilities


Your Profile

The Company will consider applicants that meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or equivalent is a plus
  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles; experience in the education or healthcare sectors is highly valued
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to implement robust financial systems in dynamic and international environments
  • High proficiency in English and fluency in Italian; experience in multicultural environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) is a plus
  • Previous experience managing or coordinating IT resources/teams is a plus
  • Experience with private equity funds or scale-up companies is a must
