Our client, a leading multinational company, is looking for a Product Manager. Reporting to the Head of Product Management Marine EMEA, the Product Manager will own the assigned product portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and market competitiveness. Working in a dynamic international environment, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and key customers to ensure products meet market needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Own the assigned product portfolio, driving growth, profitability, competitiveness, and lifecycle management, including strategic pricing across SKUs, modularization, and end-of-life planning
- Develop a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, segmentation, competitor landscape, and product performance to identify growth opportunities and support product development decisions, business cases, and investment priorities
- Define and manage product vision, roadmaps, business cases, positioning, USPs, branding, and go-to-market strategies, partnering with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and key customers to ensure successful product launches
- Conduct market research, margin analysis, profitability assessments, demand forecasting, and in-life performance monitoring to support strategic decision-making and portfolio optimization
- Act as the voice of the customer by building strong relationships with key customers, gathering market and warranty feedback, promoting product awareness, driving continuous product improvement, and proactively addressing product-related challenges.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in Product Management, with a successful track record of managing products throughout their entire lifecycle, preferably within the marine, automotive, or industrial sectors
- Strong knowledge of outboard and/or inboard engines and related products, combined with a solid technical background and hands-on product understanding
- Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies, business cases, and go-to-market strategies, effectively presenting recommendations to senior leadership
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering and other stakeholders to coordinate, plan, execute, and monitor product releases from concept to launch
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse markets, forecast demand, evaluate product performance, and present insights to different audiences
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong aptitude for quickly learning new systems and applications
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent customer relationship, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative international team.
Employment Package
Permanent employment contract (Italian CCNL Metalmeccanico ? Quadro level)
Competitive gross annual salary in the range of €60,000 - €70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
